Here's what counting by the popular vote metric as the Clinton camp has it now proves:
If the primary were decided by popular vote, and several states chose to make themselves basically irrelevant by holding caucuses anyway, and Barack Obama still decided to run his campaign exactly as he has in the real world -- including taking his name off the ballot in Michigan, which would count fully -- then Senator Clinton would be winning.
Makes it rather apparent why the superdelegates have neglected to buy into it whole hog.
